ZAHRAVI
PHARMACEUTICAL Company was established
in March 1986 as a measure to provide human pharmaceutical
products needed both at home and for export and also for upgrading
these products, qualitatively as well as quantitatively, and after
five years of ceaseless endeavor by Iranian experts and using the
most advanced equipment and up to date technology the production
line started in February 1992.
This plant was built in
120,000 sq meters with 24,000 sq meters infrastructure in Tabriz
suburban area located on the slopes of Sahand Mountains.
This
location was chosen because of its unpolluted air and suitable water
sources, which have the least possible percentage of salts in them.
The
name ZAHRAVI
was selected to honor the Muslim physician and surgeon,
Abulqasem Zahravi, who lived in the 9th century, A.D.
ZAHRAVI
PHARMACEUTICAL Company is one of
the largest Iranian producers in this field and has production lines
for tablet, capsule, vial, drop, syrup and a special line for soft
gel capsules, which is unique in the Middle East region.
This
company now produces cardiac drugs, which previously were imported,
in large scale. The plant’s formulation lab has been working on 50
new drugs , that are produced in small scale , their production
licenses have been obtained , and their industrial scale production
will begin soon .
The
company’s management and staff are doing their best together to
increase the production capacity in order to have an active role in
providing for the country’s needs in this field and also to export
these products to other countries in the region.
